Allow automatic updating android

I noticed that some apps like Google Maps, Facebook for Android etc. You could, after asking the user if he wants to (say, in a dialog box), take him to your app's market page, so that he can check it. Users can opt to allow an app to be auto-updated by the Market.(all preloaded BTW), have their "Allow Automatic Updates" check box checked without me doing so. I found this post from google groups that may help you: However, if the permissions for the app have changed, it does not work. Stack Exchange network consists of 175 Q&A communities including Stack Overflow, the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers.Visit Stack Exchange Recently Google started to check the “allow automatic updating” for their apps without being asked, which I hate. But more importantly this pushed Google Books onto my phone, which I don´t need and wastes precious 4 MB internal memory.System updates are a good thing usually, but not for everyone all the time.Maybe you've got some mods that you don't want to break or you've heard about some nasty bugs in a new build that you want to avoid.

We can't say if this is a real feature of Android N, or just something for the developer preview. This leaves me wondering: is there a way to deactivate the “allow automatic updating” for all applications?Market version 3.3.11 now has a setting called "Auto-update apps".The easiest way to receive software updates is to use the "Automatic software download". If you have enabled "Automatic software download" below, you will automatically receive a notification to update your TV.The new firmware update will be rolling out gradually to all Internet-connected TVs over the weeks following its release.
